Who We Are

Every day I watch people working out. They come in flocks to get in their caloric burn for the day; to balance out the fast food, vending machine snacks, and venti frapaccinos with extra whip cream they have consumed that day. They come to sweat, work hard, and to look good. They have designer threads, expensive shoes, and the latest workout gear. Every day I stare at grown people laboring away on machines made of metal, rubber bands, and steel. All the while staring out windows at the amazing open space in the bay area. The green hills and the sweeping trees. They come on rainy days, they come on windy days. They come on cold days and they come on beautiful 75 degree sunny days. I can't help but think this humorous. I can't help but think what a man from 1849 would think visiting a place of this nature. I can't imagine that same man saying "I think I will pay hundreds of dollars a year to go to a place so I can move heavy objects, and socialize with other people moving heavy objects."
Hence; I have decided to start a blog. This is the first step in a commitment of a life long journey to bring back the simple things in life. Fresh grown food, the smell of working hard in the rain, cold, dirt, and sun. The satisfaction of digging a hole, taking a hike, and teaching others how to do the same. The taste of fresh baked bread and thirst quenching satisfaction of a pitcher of fresh made lemonade.
On this site my fiance and I will post our fitness and health adventures in hopes of spreading motivation and happiness to others. Feel free to stop by, read, post your own comments, and share your own stories.
